Today the long awaited Xiaomi 15 Pro has been spotted in the flesh for the first time, confirming many of the previously leaked design details. The images show a device that, at first glance, could easily be mistaken for its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Pro. However, a closer look reveals a distinctive change: the LED flash is now positioned outside of the main camera island, a change that marks a key difference in the design.

The device was spotted being held by Wang Xiaoyan, Vice President of Xiaomi Group, which lends further credibility to the authenticity of the images. The camera arrangement on the back of the phone is in line with previous renders, suggesting that the final design is now solidified.
One of the most discussed aspects of the new camera module is the need for a redesign to accommodate the new advanced periscope telephoto camera. This camera is described as a 50MP sensor with 5x telemacro zoom and a minimum focusing distance of 30 cm. The main camera, branded Leica, should be from 50 MP with a 1/1.3″ sensor and an f/1.4 aperture. The photographic compartment is completed by a 50MP ultrawide camera and front camera from 32 MP for selfie.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro's display is another strong point, with a 6.78-inch quad-curved AMOLED panel produced by TCL, “2K” resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is powered by the next Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, combined with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The battery has a capacity of 6.000 mAh and supports the 90W wired charging , wireless charging from 80W, having a 10W reverse wireless charging.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro will be available in black, white, and silver, with a special titanium edition. Additionally, Xiaomi is expected to offer five major operating system updates for the device, ensuring a long life of software support. The official announcement is expected on October 20.
