Today the well-known Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station has revealed the imaging system configuration of the “SM8750 (Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4) Ultra”. Combining other information, it is believed that the phone is most likely the flagship model of the Xiaomi 15 series, i.e. the Xiaomi 15Ultra. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is also expected to be released in the first quarter of next year.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be a real camera phone (leak)
According to rumors, the phone will have four rear cameras, among which three 50 megapixel lenses and one 200 megapixel lens. Among these, the lens from 200 megapixels will probably be a telephoto lens periscope, supporting low-light telephoto and super telephoto macro. The super large main camera will continue the series' tradition with a fixed large aperture.
For comparison, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has four rear cameras, including a 50-megapixel Leica ultra-dynamic main camera with a one-inch Sony LYT-900 image sensor, a 50-megapixel Leica floating telephoto lens, a 50-megapixel Leica close-up telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel Leica ultra-wide-angle lens. Apart from the main camera, the other three lenses all use the Sony IMX858 sensor. It is not yet certain whether the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will continue to use this sensor for the ultra-wide-angle lens.
Furthermore, although there is no official news yet, many believe that Xiaomi could use the Samsung HP3 to create a telephoto lens. The Samsung HP3 is a mobile image sensor with 200 megapixels of resolution, a pixel size of 0,56 microns and triple ISO, which has already appeared in many models of other brands.
These leaked specs suggest that Xiaomi is aiming to further enhance the photography capabilities of its flagship model, offering users a range of advanced and versatile shooting options. The inclusion of a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens means users can expect exceptional low-light performance and high-quality macro capabilities.
