Xiaomi has officially announced the launch of the long-awaited Xiaomi 15Ultra, expected for February 2025. Following in the footsteps of its predecessor Xiaomi 14 Ultra, unveiled in February 2024, the new flagship promises to revolutionize the high-end smartphone market. Weibing confirmed that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will debut soon after the Chinese Spring Festival, which begins in late January. The launch will be simultaneous in both China and globally. While the exact date was not disclosed, his comments suggest that the 15 Ultra could be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, an event scheduled for late February.

The design of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will retain the iconic circular camera module already seen in the previous model. The periscope telephoto camera will be cleverly integrated into the upper right corner of the module, flanked by three other lenses. The smartphone will boast a 2K micro-curved display with ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, providing an immersive visual experience and advanced security.

The beating heart of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which will ensure smooth and uncompromising performance. The 6.000mAh battery will provide long-lasting battery life, while supporting 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The luxurious finishes, including vegan leather, glass fiber, and ceramic, will reflect Xiaomi's attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.

One of the most notable innovations of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be the integration of satellite communication technology. The device will support the TianTong satellite system as standard, and the high-end variant will offer dual-satellite connectivity via the BeiDou system. In addition, the 15 Ultra will be the first smartphone in the Ultra series to feature eSIM functionality, increasing its versatility for international users.

Anticipation for this smartphone is high, and Mobile World Congress 2025 could be the perfect stage for its debut. While full details on the specifications have yet to be revealed, the previews already promise a device that combines power, style and technological innovation. We just have to wait a few more weeks!
