This afternoon Xiaomi he presented his new one xiaomi 15s pro, a flagship that brings with it an important technological innovation: the debut of the Xring O1 chipset, developed internally by the company. This marks a big step for Xiaomi, which joins the small group of manufacturers capable of designing high-end mobile chips, capable of competing with solutions from Qualcomm and MediaTek.
Xiaomi 15S Pro Official With Xring O1 Chip And 6100mAh Battery
As we learned here, the Xring O1, produced on TSMC's advanced 3nm N3E process, introduces true flagship performance. The chipset adopts a ten-core cluster, with two Cortex-X925 cores clocked at 3.9GHz, six Cortex-A725 cores with frequencies ranging from 1.9GHz to 3.4GHz, and two Cortex-A520 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, optimized for power saving.
Completing the package, the Xring O1 integrates a 925-core ARM Immortalis-G16 GPU and a 6-core NPU, with a computing capacity of 44 TOPS, confirming its vocation for advanced AI and high-performance gaming.
According to benchmarks, the new chip has Exceeded 3 million points on AnTuTu, beating the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while on Geekbench 6 it obtained over 3.000 points in single-core and 9.000 points in multi-core, even higher than the powerful Apple A18 Pro.
Aside from the integration of the Xring O1, the Xiaomi 15S Pro retains virtually the same specifications as the 15 Pro, including a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, three 50MP cameras (ultrawide, wide and a 5x periscope)a whirlpool bath, battery 6.100mAh within 90W wired fast charging, HyperOS 2 operating system based on Android 15, LPDDR5T memory and UFS 4.1 storage, support a USB 3.2 Gen2 and Wi-Fi 7 connectivityThe elegant design will be available in two colors, Black and Blue, maintaining the same premium aesthetics of the previous model.
Price and availability in China
The Xiaomi 15S Pro is already available for purchase in China, with prices starting at:
- 16GB + 512GB: 5.499 yuan (about 708 euros)
- 1TB storage: 5.499 yuan (about 772 euros)
Xiaomi has not yet announced details about the international launch, but considering the success of the Xiaomi 15 Pro, it is likely that this new flagship could arrive in other markets as well in the coming months.
