Xiaomi officially presented its new premium flagships in China: Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, two devices that push the concept of compact and powerful to the limit. Both models are equipped with the brand new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm's recently announced top-of-the-line chip, and offer truly world-class performance.
Xiaomi 17 Pro and Pro Max Official: Dual Displays and 7500mAh Battery
The Xiaomi 17 Pro features a 6,3-inch LTPO main display with variable refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz, brightness up to 3.500 nits, Dragon Crystal Glass protection, and M10 technology for superior visual performance. But the real gem is the second 2,7-inch rear display, with a resolution of 904 × 572 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. This screen can be used for selfies, notifications, music control, timers, calls, and even as a pocket-sized console with the new retro gaming cover.
The photographic department is flagship-level: a triple 50MP camera, with a 1/1.28” Light Fusion 950L main sensor, a Leica Summilux f/1.67 lens with OIS, a 102° ultra-wide lens, and a 5x periscope telephoto lens with f/3.0 aperture and 20cm macro capability. The front camera is 50MP with an f/2.2 lens and a 90° angle. There is also a 3D ToF sensor for spatial mapping.
The battery is 6.300mAh, with 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 22.5W reverse charging, both wired and wireless. The cooling system is entrusted to a 4.637mm² vapor chamber, while the Surge G2 chip guarantees a battery life of more than 2.000 charge cycles.
The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max expands everything: 6,9-inch display, 2,9-inch second screen, 7.500mAh battery, 5.533mm² vapor chamber, and an improved periscope telephoto lens with a 1/2” ISOCELL GN8 sensor and f/2.6 aperture. Here too we find the triple 50MP, 50MP selfies and IP68 certification, with resistance up to 6 meters of depth.
