Xiaomi continues to add accessories for our cars, improving our driving conditions but also reducing the space inside. And that's how after the aromatherapy deodorant launched yesterday, the Chinese company today is selling a new high quality dashcam for those who prefer to have physical evidence in case of accidents or otherwise.
The new dashcam is called Xiaomi 70 Minutes Dashcam Pro and is the evolution of the Xiaomi 70 Minutes Dashcam released about a year ago. The car camera comes with a 335MP SONY IMX5 sensor with large pixels (2um), and can shoot videos up to 1944p resolution, which represents 2.5 times that of 1080p, so we can expect videos with a lot of detail.
The sensor is then associated with a lens with F / 1.8 aperture that will allow you to have good quality photos even in the darkest hours, a viewing angle of 140 degrees and a system composed of six different lenses. Being a high-end camera, the videos will be filmed with the H.265 codec, which means having very good quality videos that do not take up too much memory space. This thanks to the processor on the device, a high-performance Huawei HiSili with two cores and support for the aforementioned codec.

The Xiaomi 70 Minutes Dashcam Pro then has a defog function that makes the video clearer even in adverse weather conditions, but the WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) will allow you to capture many more details and colors thanks to the advanced ISP.
Regarding the software, the dashcam has a monitoring system for when you park your car. In fact, in case of collisions, the G-sensor will activate the camera and automatically resume the attacker. Also you can activate the dashcam by voice, for example you can tell her to take a picture or start recording a video. Obviously these features will be available in Chinese and will hardly be translated into other languages.
The dashcam can also be made more useful with other accessories, such as the ADAS module, an advanced assisted driving system, parking sensors, component monitoring and much more. Finally, you can connect your smartphone via WiFi, to check images and videos recorded and then download them to your phone if necessary.
The Xiaomi 70 Minutes Dashcam Pro was launched in China at 349 Yuan, or about 44 €, and will almost certainly be available in poco online to be purchased even outside the Asian country.
