Xiaomi controls Apple AirPower with its wireless charging pad

Xiaomi always try to stay one step ahead of other companies, that's for sure. Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), in particular it is one of his "worst enemies": just think that years ago Lei Jun's brand was nicknamed "The Chinese Apple". Today, during the presentation of the new devices of the Mi 11 family and Mi Band 6, the giant has also decided to bring a new product even if it is currently exclusive to China. We can define it as one wireless docking station to charge multiple devices at the same time.

Xiaomi presents its version of AirPower but enhanced: a model had already been presented last year but this is much better

To be honest it is not really a docking station but an upgrade of the charging pad that Xiaomi presented last year. Recall that the device had been also praised by Shen Yiren, the then CEO of Oppo. This new wireless station features 19 reel that allow you to charge three devices at the same time (power up to 20W per device). Thanks to this design, users can place devices anywhere on the charging pad. Let's think for example of a smartphone, a box for TWS headphones and… another smartphone.

Here the (good-natured) company troll to Apple

But why do we say that Xiaomi is trolling Apple? Undoubtedly, the product is very reminiscent of that of the Cupertino company which, alas, never came out. But the funniest thing is that Xiaomi used an iPhone as an example: in the photo above we see. The operation of this device is completely different from the previous model. While the other relied on a moving coil that intercepted the device to be recharged, this one presents a coil series that simultaneously charge all devices (not just smartphones) equipped with Qi recharge, therefore wireless.

This charging station is offered for approx 100 € (at the exchange rate) although it will only be available for China, at least initially.
