Xiaomi doubles its offering of wearable devices by introducing the new Xiaomi AmazFit. Unlike the Xiaomi Mi Band that we learned to know over time, this new wearable has a completely different shape (we've seen it already in a leaked way in a photo a few days ago) and is made in zirconium oxide, a fairly atypical material for these products.
Thanks to its ring shape, it can be inserted in any necklace or bracelet. Unfortunately, the diameter of the hole in the middle turns out to be too small to fit it to the finger. Xiaomi, with AmazFit kit, will also make it available of the straps to wear it like a watch. According to our opinion, wearing it with a necklace is the best solution.
From the hardware point of view, the miracle made by Xiaomi to incorporate all the typical components of a smart product into those sizes is truly exceptional. Inside, we find a 4.0 Bluetooth chip, and a SoC of the model was not specified. The internal battery is alone 15 mAh but, according to what was declared by the Chinese colossus, the autonomy would be about 10 days.
You will be wondering how to reload a wearable so small. Well, engineers have managed to integrate a chip for induction charging, so you do not take more space with connectors or similar things. To complete this there is the certification IP68 against water and dust.
As for the sale price, Xiaomi AmazFit will cost 299 yuan which, at exchange rate, equate to around 40 euro. The actual arrival on the market is expected in October both in black color and in white / black coloring.
