Xiaomi and Android 11: here is the current update situation

Given that on a terminal equipped with MIUI firmware the version of this one counts more than the operating system, many are the users behind the latest version of the green robot, or Android 11. Officially, there are already many devices of the brand Asian that are updating to the latest major release from Google, even if some of these were better not to, like the Xiaomi Mi A3 which could not miss a nice brick following the update.

Fortunately, everything seems to have been resolved for the last terminal of the Android One family linked to Xiaomi, but although Android 11 does not bring big changes on Xiaomi's MIUI interface, security linked to the OS seems to be important to everyone and therefore we try to understand at what point we are on the update situation, discovering who has already received (and perhaps you missed the update), who is receiving it and who will receive it, always keeping in mind that what is reported in the lines to come, could be subject to upheavals by Lei Jun's company.

Xiaomi and Android 11: here is the current update situation (updated to January 20)

I only reiterate the concept of Android 11 on a MIUI firmware, as many of the innovations that a stock system brings as a dowry, may not be visible on a Xiaomi, Redmi, smartphone. POCO and BlackShark, because MIUI adopts its own customization in terms of graphics and system management. That said, to date the only Xiaomi devices that have already been updated to Android 11 are the following:

  • Xiaomi Mi 10 / Mi 10 Pro
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G / Mi 10 Youth Edition
  • Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro
  • Xiaomi MiNote 10 Lite
  • Xiaomi Mi A3
  • Redmi K30 / K30 Pro / K30 Pro Zoom
  • POCO F2 Pro
  • Redmi K30 5G / K30 Ultra
  • Redmi k30i
  • Redmi Note 9 Pro (India)

Not many therefore officially updated devices but as you well know, before the company releases a stable OTA, this goes through a phase called public beta, which at the moment in relation to Android 11 has been released for the following models, which so they should soon be added to the models that officially run on the latest Big G OS:

  • Xiaomi mi 10 ultra
  • Xiaomi Mi 10T / Mi 10T Pro
  • Xiaomi Mi 9 / Mi 9 Pro 5G
  • Xiaomi Mi 9 SE
  • Xiaomi Mi CC9 / Mi CC9 Meitu Edition
  • Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite
  • Redmi K30 Ultra
  • Redmi K30S
  • Redmi K20 / Redi K20 Pro
  • Redmi 10X 4G / Redmi 10X 5G
  • Redmi Note 9 5G / Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G
  • Redmi Note 9T
  • Notes redmi 8 Pro

To all the models mentioned are added other devices that are instead in the primordial phase of the development of Android 11, or internal tests are underway, which will essentially lead to the release of the update definitively, but there may be a remote possibility that the tests are not successful and therefore the devices we will mention may never see the new Google OS:

  • Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite
  • Xiaomi Mi 9T / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro
  • Xiaomi MiNote 10/10 Pro
  • Redmi Note 9 / Redmi Note 9 4G
  • Redmi Note 9 Pro / Redmi Note 9 Pro Max
  • Redmi 9 / Redmi 9C
  • Redmi 9A / Redmi 9AT
  • Redmi Note 8 and Note 8T
  • POCO C3
  • POCO X3NFC
  • POCO X2
  • POCO M3
  • POCO M2 / POCO M2 Pro
  • BlackShark 3 / BlackShark 3S / BlackShark 3 Pro
  • BlackShark 2 / BlackShark 2 Pro

In short, with a little patience it seems that Xiaomi will update a large part of its stable of smartphones released in the last 2 years, hoping only that it will do so before the release of Android 12, of which the first rumors are already beginning to emerge. Probably there will be many users who will remain unhappy and dry-mouthed, just think of the Max series not considered at all, the MIX series also not mentioned at all and many others, not to mention the Mi Pads, completely abandoned to themselves.

Hi everyone ?
How is the situation of XIAOMI MI A3?
with the update to android 11?
Still send the phone in BRICK?
or does the OTA update now work well?
in the sense that it works well, that for example the battery lasts normally,
or does the battery last very short?
THANK YOU ALL
