China's auto sector is watching the growth of Xiaomi Car, which is preparing for unprecedented expansion. According to the latest industry analyses, the company could exceed one million vehicles produced by 2026, with an ambitious target of 1,2 million units. This milestone would be achieved thanks to the commissioning of new phases of the Beijing and Wuhan plants, as well as a highly efficient production strategy.
Xiaomi Auto: 1,2 million vehicles by 2026, the challenge is launched

The first Beijing plant, designed for an annual capacity of 150.000 vehicles, has already achieved a 200% utilization rate thanks to double shifts. The second phase of the same plant is also designed for 150.000 units, and if both are fully operational, the Beijing plant alone could produce 600.000 vehicles annually.
In 2026, Xiaomi It also plans to start production at its Beijing plant's Phase III (Phase II Plus) immediately after the Lunar New Year, while its Wuhan plant's Phase I is expected to start in May, with a monthly capacity of 35.000 vehicles by October. If the production ramp-up goes smoothly, Xiaomi Auto could reach between 1,17 million and 1,2 million vehicles annually.
According to Guoxin Securities, Xiaomi Auto sales could exceed 800.000 units in 2026, while Ping An Securities estimates 750.000 vehicles for the same year, with a projection of 1,2 million units in 2027. These numbers are supported by improved operational efficiency and economies of scale, which are expected to keep the gross profit margin above 20%, contributing significantly to the group's overall profits.
Xiaomi Auto's growth relies not only on the physical expansion of its plants, but also on potential strategic mergers and acquisitions, which could further accelerate the achievement of its goals. Coordination between its various plants and the adoption of advanced production technologies place Xiaomi in a strong position to become a major player in the global EV market.
