Black Shark 2: Photo samples from the Xiaomi gaming phone

Lo Xiaomi Black Shark 2 is the latest gaming phone presented by the Chinese technology giant just a week ago. During these few days of life, the device has proven to have everything it takes to dominate that market segment (410.000 points on AnTuTu), will this also be the case for the photographic sector? Let's find out right away with the first photographic samples coming directly from China!

Black Shark 2: Photo samples from the Xiaomi gaming phone

Xiaomi Black Shark 2 photo samples

As we said earlier, these photos were taken by a Chinese user and published on the Weibo social media. The smartphone used is clearly the Black Shark 2 as seen from the watermark on the bottom left.

Unlike sample of the Redmi 7 that we had seen the other day that they always saw the same subject, this time we have instead a lot of variety that allows us to understand, at least in part, what will be able to capture the device dedicated to gamers.

As we can see in the photos, which unfortunately are not very high resolution, the sensor on board the Black Shark 2, an excellent Sony IMX586 from 48MP, seems to have an excellent range of colors and exposure. Being able not to overexpose some parts of the image when the subject is less illuminated than the background.

On the contrary, we note the over-sharpening, that is, the photos seem to be made more "sharp" by software and not directly by the sensor. This may however be due to the low resolution of the images and the fact that by publishing them online they are compressed with the creation of artifacts.

Finally, as regards the bokeh effect (subject to focus and blurred background), the Black Shark 2 seems to behave quite well. In the photo with flowers we see that the three "subjects" are in fact in focus and very detailed, while the others behind are blurred.

We must say that for a gaming phone, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 does not behave badly even when there is a picture to be taken. Having the same sensor and the same processor as the Mi 9 we can then expect better results in the future, after some software optimizations.

What do you think of the photos above? Are you convinced or hoped for something better? Let us know in the comments section below!
