A few days ago we reported about the near arrival of the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro, whose presentation has already been scheduled for the 30 July. The new gaming phone promises to be a slight step up from the Black Shark 2 announced only the 29 last March.
Well, the rumors that appeared online so far regarding the device suggested the presence of the new Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 855 Plus. Today these rumors seem to be confirmed with a benchmark on the famous GeekBench platform.
Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro caught on GeekBench, disappointing score?
As we can see in the image above, in fact, a smartphone with the code name "blackshark DLT-A0" has just appeared in the GeekBench database. The device in question would be precisely the Black Shark 2 Pro, which could reach 3632 points in single core mode, while in multi core mode we get to 11304. The Black Shark 2 Pro would therefore be slightly more powerful than the Black Shark 2 which instead had obtained 3494 and 11149 points respectively.
Also from the benchmark we can understand that the smartphone runs with Android 9 Pie (no surprise here), has an octa-core CPU with minimum frequency of 1,78Ghz and well 12 GB of RAM.
Although this indiscretion is given for certain, we still recommend taking the news with pliers. Because it is true that the new device seems to be more powerful than its predecessor, but the difference is so minimal that we question its veracity.
In any case, after the flop of the Black Shark 2, Xiaomi may have decided to try again with a slightly better SoC even if only to return to the first place as regards the ranking of AnTuTu / GeekBench. So you can self-proclaim the most powerful smartphone on the market.
