As is usual with Xiaomi, information regarding upcoming Xiaomi devices always tends to come out before the official presentation. Also in this case, in fact, the next gaming phone of the Chinese giant, namely the Black Shark 2 Pro, is the protagonist of a teaser that just appeared online.

The video teaser, which seems a mixture of Power Rangers and Japanese anime, sees the smartphone humanize itself and fight an enemy unknown to us. But apart from the plot, what interests us is the message we are able to read during the attack of the Black Shark 2 Pro. In fact, the writing Snapdragon 855 Plus appears quite clearly, thus suggesting the now obvious presence of the last processor at home Qualcomm on Xiaomi's next smartphone dedicated to gamers.
As just implied, the fact that the Black Shark 2 Pro equips the Snapdragon 855 Plus is not new in itself. We have already talked about it since July 19 this post, then followed by a benchmark on GeekBench which somehow confirmed it, but to date no official word had arrived.
Today's video instead confirms the new CPU aboard what we can consider a slight upgrade compared to the Black Shark 2. In fact, we don't think we will find any substantial change other than the best performing processor that will bring a slightly more fluid gaming experience.
In any case, even if it seems to us a reiteration that is not very useful or interesting, Xiaomi's real goal is probably to bring the Black Shark brand back to the top of the benchmark rankings, whether they are AnTuTu or Geekbench.
