Xiaomi was among the first companies, if not the first, to announce the arrival of Android 12 on some of your devices. Specifically, the most powerful Mi 11 series smartphone have received the update in Beta version. Well, from the same day of the release of the update (which we remember to be exclusively for the Beta Tester, or the Mi Pilots) some sources such as Xiaomiui and rotate other websites, they have started “Report” brick of smartphones. But what is really going on? Let's try to tidy up and understand why these smartphones are really blocked.
For days some sources have been reporting brick of Xiaomi smartphones after the update to Android 12: but is this really the case? What is happening? Let's try to clarify
First of all Xiaomi did not release no official statement about this situation, which it usually does. Also, the above sources have no never reported any screenshots or proofs that testify that the affected devices are bricked. Already this, as they say, "stinks". Beyond that, we need to keep a couple of things in mind before understanding the why (if true) of the brick:
- Android 12 was released in the form of Beta, therefore it is intended for Beta Testers. As such it is normal for there to be problems with incompatibility at least at the beginning, otherwise a Stabile would have been released immediately;
- as we anticipated, the update is intended for Mi Pilots and not at all. With great ease, the vast majority of users who have stumbled upon the brick are "common" users who wanted immediately try out what's new of the operating system underestimating the consequences of proceeding with the update.
Some of you will surely say: yes, but Xiaomi does not usually run in its updates. And indeed it is true, but remember that there is from distinguish between MIUI updates and operating system updates. As we know and as he remembers Wanghua, general manager of Xiaomi's public relations department, Android 12 has just been adapted and therefore Google and the app developers still have a lot of work to do.
