The Xiaomi Cayo Anno Smart Safe is a small intelligent safe with many features ranging from electronic password and remote alarm to access with a button and through the Mijia app.

Let's start by specifying that this, like many other Xiaomi gadgets, is produced by a third company called Ningbo Lejia Security Technology Co., Ltd. and that it will be shipped starting from March 20, 2019.
The electronic safe has a length of 40cm, width of 30cm and height of 30 cm and was created from a single piece of metal finished with laser technology. It adopts a very simple design in sheet steel and multilayer structure, with a tensile strength that reaches the 345PA and has been certified against a multitude of tests: anti-perforation, shock-proof, anti-dust mites and anti-corrosion. Of course, the door bolts are also solid, with a door joint smaller than 0,5 mm, which makes it difficult for thieves to find a lever to force the safe.
Inside we find instead a "soft pack" filled with special molds created at high temperature and hot pressing. This coating has eight functions: shock absorption, antibacterial, flame retardant, moisture resistant, mold-proof, dust-proof, anti-fouling and anti-static. So whether it's jewelry, watches or photos, luxury goods and cultural relics, everything will remain as it was before.
As for the “smart” side, we have an electronic password lock up to 8 digits that is difficult to crack, which offers more efficient security performance and greatly improves the security of the safe. The electronic password is more convenient to use and solves the sore point of having to carry the keys with you or worse still lose them. With the Xiaomi Cayo Anno just enter the 8-digit password correctly and the door (without handle) will open automatically.
You can also use the Mijia app to have a remote coverage of the safe, for example if the safe is moved or there is an attempt to tamper, the sensor in the safe starts an alarm that will be received by the owner on the smartphone. So if you have a video surveillance system you can connect to see what is happening and in case call the police.
The Xiaomi Cayo Anno Smart Safe is now in the crowdfunding campaign (in China) at the price of 399 Yuan, or 52 €.
