Today morning, founder and CEO of Xiaomi Group, Lei Jun, revealed new information about the new Xiaomi CC series coming up next Tuesday.
On the social network Weibo Lei Jun has in fact just specified that there will be not two but three different devices, with the third that will be quite different from the first two.
Xiaomi CC will be available in 3 variants, including the Meitu Custom Edition
To be precise, let's talk about the Xiaomi CC9 and of the Xiaomi CC9e, these two will be similar in many respects, even if the more "economy" version is now given a smaller size. In any case, returning to the three devices, the third will be the Xiaomi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition. The smartphone, created in collaboration with the Meitu brand acquired a few months ago, will come with a completely different package and a quantity of 8GB RAM and top-of-the-range 256GB internal memory.
The Xiaomi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition has the nickname of "Little Fairy", or "Fairy" and we will find it inside a completely green box with the CC logo in the center and the word "Meitu" at the bottom. As we can see in the photo above, the difference with the CC9 (and CC9e) packaging is quite substantial.
Lei Jun also revealed that this special edition will fully utilize Meitu's photo software. Meitu, for those who do not know it, is a famous brand in China for the amount of software algorithms dedicated to improving the photos taken. In fact, Meitu was (now absorbed by Xiaomi) a brand used predominantly by the female public, as with the various software it was possible to greatly improve their physical appearance, both of the face and the rest of the body.
So the packaging we've just seen was also created on purpose to attract the female audience and not the male audience.
Returning to the Xiaomi CC9e instead, new rumors suggest the existence of a smaller device compared to the CC9 that was given with a screen of 6,39 inches of diagonal and a battery from 4000mAh. The CC9e could indeed equip an AMOLED screen from 5,97 inches, so very compact and consequently a smaller battery size from 3500mAh.
The differences of the processors remain unchanged instead, Snapdragon 730 for CC9 and Snapdragon 710 CC9e. The cameras should be a main Sony from 48MP (Sony IMX586) on the back accompanied by a secondary from 8MP and a third sensor from 5MP. While for selfies we will have a very high resolution 32MP camera.
As often happens with Xiaomi, there seems to have been little doubt before the scheduled presentation for 2 in July. That being said, we look forward to discovering the various prices and when they will be marketed.
