Xiaomi celebrates its smartwatch sales record on Twitter

In recent days there we had talked about Canalys's report, which established how Xiaomi has effectively become the number one brand in terms of sales of smartwatches worldwide. Well, even the Chinese company itself wanted to celebrate this milestone with a post on Twitter in which it celebrates and thanks all Xiaomi fans.

Xiaomi has overtaken Apple in the sale of smartwatches

The Chinese company is now shattering every possible record: after becoming the first company in the world for sales volumes during the month of August, it now finds itself celebrating another prestigious result. According to what was reported by Canalys, a leading market analyst in the sector, Xiaomi has become the brand with the most sales in the world for wearable bands.

Therefore, surpass Apple, Fitbit and Huawei. The report refers to Q2, which is the period from April to June, but it is very significant. Xiaomi has shipped well in this time frame 8 million smartwatches, including cheap smart bracelets, compared to Apple's 7,9 million. Of course, it must be considered that Apple Watch fans are still waiting for the launch of the 7 series (scheduled for the end of September). And that at the same time Xiaomi launched Mi Smart Band 6. But the data at the moment reads like this.

Xiaomi's tweet is understandably proud of what the company has managed to do in recent months. Of course, Apple continues to be unattainable in other areas, such as the one that excludes the most basic wearables, such as fitness trackers. In this sense, the brand with the bitten apple is still at the top, holding 31,1% of the smartwatch market in the second quarter, followed by Huawei with 9% (therefore very far), with Garmin placing itself at the third place, with 7,6%.
