Xiaomi has just presented a new product on Youpin's crowdfunding platform, the Chanitex Smart Water Purifier. This water purifier differs from those launched earlier for several reasons, the first of which is the ultra-durable filter that can be used for up to three years. Then there is the support for Xiaomi's Mijia application to be able to use it remotely directly from your smartphone and much more.

The Xiaomi Chanitex Smart Water Purifier comes with a reverse osmosis filtration system that possesses a water purification membrane that is about 30% better than normal purifiers. The flow rate of water that can be purified per minute reaches up to 1,6 liters, which in other words we could translate into a glass of fresh water every 7,5 seconds. In fact, this purifier with a filter that has a filtration power of 550 gallons, allows to increase the water flow by about 60% compared to other devices with a "power" of 400 gallons.
The Chanitex purifier does not have a containment system, this means that the water must be poured directly into a bottle or a glass and is not stored inside the machine. Therefore, when the tap is opened, the water flows out of the purifier, greatly reducing waiting times. In addition to this, not having an additional tank reduces the risk of water contamination after a certain period of inactivity.
As we said before, the patented reverse osmosis membrane system produced by the company ensures a long life. Under optimal conditions, the membrane can in fact be used for up to three years, averaging 5500 liters of purified water per year.
Specifically, the purifier has a five-step filtering system that serves to remove rust, heavy metals, scale, residual chlorine and other impurities. The filter also removes any odor and should improve its taste. Finally, there is a system that flushes the water that remains stuck inside the appliance in the event of a power failure.
Xiaomi's Chanitex Smart Water Purifier was presented for the price of 2499 Yuan in China, which translated into euros is about 330 €. The price includes installation at home, while the start of shipments is called 22 April.
