The confirmation comes directly from the CEO and founder of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, who on Weibo (the Chinese Twitter) has just released a video in which the gestures of the "C" and "V" appear. This video is to explain to Chinese users how to pronounce the name of the new Civi series. Lei Jun also shared a message in which he made the gestures "C" and "V" himself, inviting all his followers to do the same and share the photos online.
In addition, according to the brand's announcement, Xiaomi Civi represents "A fashionable and diversified design and innovative imaging technology, accompanies every young and confident young man to explore himself".
As we learned earlier, the first model of the Xiaomi Civi series is expected to be released on September 27 in China. Meanwhile, many Chinese users are curious about the relationship between the new Civi series and the previous Xiaomi CC series that we saw for the first (and only) time in 2019 with the Xiaomi CC9 / CC9 Pro, then launched in the rest of the world. with the name of Xiaomi Mi Note 10.
Xiaomi CC series product manager @Cici_ 老魏 said there is an important similarity between the two series. Both are specially designed for young people to create trendy devices, Civi can be said to be the metamorphosis after two years of work from the CC series, a complete evolution.
The same product manager also revealed that “At first you might think that this is not a Xiaomi smartphone you are familiar with and its design ideas will be completely different.
