
Xiaomi Jingxi Technology, a subsidiary of Xiaomi Communications Technology recently acquired an important industrial area in Yizhuang New Town, according to the official website of the Beijing Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Commission. The area, identified as Plot 0106 in Block YZ00-0606, was sold for approximately 842 million RMB, approximately 166 million euros, corresponding to the initial reserve price.
Xiaomi acquires a new industrial zone to produce its EVs

The new acquisition is located on the east side of Xiaomi's automotive factory and is expected to be used for the construction of the second phase of the factory itself. The transfer document indicates that the land is intended for industrial use, with an area of 531.100 square meters and a building control scale of no more than 690.500 square meters. The total duration of the transfer is 50 years.
The area in question is located in the leading manufacturing production zone, and according to regional industrial cultivation requirements, it is planned for the development of high-end automotive industries and new energy intelligent vehicles. The design plan includes a total construction area of approximately 400.000 square meters, of which 391.500 square meters above ground and 8.503,33 square meters underground. The building area ratio is 0,74, with a maximum building height of 15,95 meters, a greening rate of 15,04% and a total of 1.009 parking spaces for motor vehicles.

The listing document shows that the industrial land is intended for the construction of new energy-connected intelligent vehicle and spare parts production projects, with a fixed asset investment of no less than 2,6 billion yuan and a production value annual of no less than 16 billion yuan at full capacity.
This acquisition represents a significant step for Xiaomi in consolidating its presence in the EV sector, particularly in the EV segment smart electric vehicles.
