Recently, Xiaomi started selling a version of its Hongmi with Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, much better than the original version with the Mediatek MT6589T processor.
Xiaomi has recently announced the arrival on the market of the new one Xiaomi Hongmi 1S, a version of its Xiaomi Hongmi processor Snapdragon 400 from 1,6 Ghz and support for China Telecom CDMA2000 and GSM frequencies. In addition to this, however, the Chinese home has decided to upgrade the software MIUI V5, basing it on 4.3 Android Jelly Bean and no longer on Android 4.2.1.
The result is a much cheaper device sold to the same price, 799 ¥ (about 96 €). On Antutu the original model with the Mediatek MT6589T did not compromise at all (16000 points) but the new Xiaomi Hingmi 1S is undoubtedly more powerful and the result testifies it well 21467 points.
Xiaomi is now waiting for Qualcomm processor prices to drop to upgrade even the China Mobile (TD-SCDMA) and China Unicom (WCDMA) versions of their new Xiaomi Hongmi 1S.
