As anticipated a few days ago, today the Xiaomi sub-brand dedicated to the creation of smartwatches, Huami, has finally announced the new spearhead of its catalog, the AmazFit GTR.
The new smartwatch will be available in two sizes: 47mm and 42mm, with each having different colors. Let's go then to discover them together!
New AmazFit GTR series presented in China: Specifications and prices
Let's start with AmazFit GTR 47mm, this will be available in aluminum, stainless steel and titanium. There will also be special editions with a gold-plated steel case, with a silicone strap inspired by Iron Man, a black ceramic rim and a dial also inspired by the Marvel character.
As for the variant from 42mm instead, this will be available in four colors: Starry Black, Moonlight White, Cherry Powder, Coral Red and a special with 50 Austrian zircons. This model is even thinner at just 9,2mm in thickness and lighter at 25,5 grams.
The differences in size obviously translate into larger and smaller screens. The 47mm version indeed equips an AMOLED screen from 1,39 inches, while the smaller smart watch has an AMOLED screen from 1,20 ″. The resolutions are instead 454 x 454 for the 47mm and 390 x 390 for the 42mm. Both models will have 100 patterns of dials at their disposal.
The AmazFit GTR comes with an NFC module with support for Alipay (in China). While among the other features we find impermeability up to 5ATM, GPS + GLONASS for a very accurate position tracking, a pressure sensor and a BioTracker PPG for 24 hourly heart rate monitoring on 24 without any interruption.
From the standpoint of autonomy, AmazFit claims to have optimized consumption for different types of use. They were therefore able to reduce consumption by as much as 82,6% (in standby mode for 24 hours). While in "Motion" mode, consumption has been reduced by 51,2%, with a total daily improvement of 48,7%.
Finally, the Huami spokesman added that the AmazFit GTR can stay on for 74 days in a row without needing to be recharged (in "basic" mode without Bluetooth).
Finally, as regards prices, these vary enormously depending on the model and version chosen. Let's start with the largest AmazFit GTR from 47mm, it will cost a minimum of 999 Yuan (on 130 €) in stainless steel and aluminum versions, while the titanium variant will cost 1399 Yuan (around 180 €), as well as the one dedicated to Iron Man The smartwatches just mentioned will go on sale on July 16 at 16: 00.
Switching to the more compact AmazFit GTR from 42mm, this will cost 799 Yuan (on 100 euros), while the special edition will cost 999 Yuan (130 €) and will go on sale on August 30.
Perhaps, a serious review would add that its app only takes into account walking, running and cycling activities with the exception of the other 9 expressly advertised. I bought it and, as a swimmer, I threw away € 150.
When the global version?
Let's give it time 🙂
I want it!!!
