Xiaomi obtains a new patent for its humanoid robot

From China comes the news that Xiaomi Mobile Software Co., Ltd. has been authorized for the patent of a “robot calf structure with legs”.

Xiaomi obtains a new patent for its humanoid robot

Qichacha's patent summary shows that the patent belongs to the technical field of legged robots. The lower leg structure of the robot includes: a leg rod, a foot and a spring-loaded linkage mechanism. The first end of the leg shaft is connected to the foot and is pivotally connected to the first position of the shaft. The spring link mechanism is on the side of the leg shaft, with the mechanism being connected to the second end of the leg shaft and the second end of the foot.

By setting a spring link mechanism on the side of the leg shaft, the link mechanism is connected to the leg shaft and foot. During the movement of the robot with its legs, the spring link mechanism can effectively absorb the shock generated by the foot, thus improving the stability of the robot's movement, reducing the impact of vibration on the robot, and avoiding damage to the robot caused by vibration .

Recall that in August last year, Xiaomi released the first humanoid robot "CyberOne", with a height of 177 cm and a weight of 52 kg. He is a full-sized humanoid bionic robot. According to official statements, the intelligence and mechanical capabilities behind the CyberOne are all self-developed by the Xiaomi Robotics Laboratory. Compared to the previous CyberDog (the robot dog) its research and development is more difficult.

The brand also said that CyberOne has high emotional intelligence, can perceive human emotions, is visually sensitive, can reconstruct the real world in three-dimensional virtual, and thanks to its developed "cerebellum", can realize the balance of posture in movement bipedal, with strong limbs and a maximum torque of 300 Nm.
