The success of the SU7 has naturally shifted attention towards future Xiaomi models, and recently, it seems that the hybrid model of the company was accidentally revealed through an official publication. This leak came via a screenshot of a Xiaomi Auto job announcement, which he was looking for senior engineers for hardware thermal management for the company's first hybrid model. This model represents the first of Xiaomi's hybrid platform and aims to compete with the best-selling models on the market.

On Xiaomi's official recruitment website, there are several positions related to hybrid vehicles, including that of "vehicle and system engineer – thermal management system”, which requires an advanced level of education and significant experience in the automotive sector, especially in the integration of thermal management, with responsibility for the development of hybrid or extended range models.

Despite the excitement aroused by these revelations, Xiaomi has not yet disclosed official information on its second car. Xiaomi president Lei Jun avoided answering netizens' questions on this topic during a live broadcast on Douyin (the Chinese TikTok), but clarified that Xiaomi has no intention of producing off-road vehicles. However, there are rumors that Xiaomi's second vehicle will be an SUV, scheduled for later this year and going on sale in 2025.
