Xiaomi has officially announced its new operating system HyperOS, which will replace MIUI as the user interface of its devices. HyperOS will be based on Android, but will have a new architecture and a completely renewed design.

Xiaomi HyperOS is shown in a first video

If you're curious to see what HyperOS will look like, you can take a look at the first video showing the operating system in action. The video was published on YouTube and lasts only 1 minute, but it allows us to appreciate some of the new features of HyperOS.

Among these, we can note:

  • New icons: App icons have a more minimalist, rounded look, with bright colors and gradients.
  • New system app interface: System apps such as settings have a new cleaner and more modern interface, with more refined graphics and animations.
  • New lock screen customization: The lock screen offers new customization options, such as the ability to change the wallpaper, font, clock and notifications.
  • New Always On Display: The Always On Display has a new design that shows the time, date, battery and app icons with incoming notifications. The user can choose between different styles and colors for the Always On Display.
  • New Control Center: the Control Center has been completely redesigned and now opens with a swipe down from the top edge of the screen. The Control Center shows quick settings, brightness, volume, and network and battery status information.

The video only gives us a taste of HyperOS, but it makes us understand that Xiaomi has worked hard to create a more fluid, intuitive and attractive operating system. We can't wait to discover all the features and potential of HyperOS when it officially launches.

We remind you that HyperOS will make its debut on the Xiaomi 14 series, which should be presented at the end of October. The operating system will also be available on Xiaomi devices sold internationally, gradually replacing MIUI. Xiaomi started working on HyperOS in 2017 and described this launch as "a historic moment" for its company.
