India has always been one of the most fertile lands for Chinese phone manufacturers and it seems that Xiaomi is proving it. Thanks to the Indian holiday season, the Chinese company was able to sell 500.00 smartphones in just 72 hours, thanks to the promotional campaigns of the country's major e-commerce sites, such as FlipKart, Amazon India, and Snapdeal. The announcement was made by one of the company's top executives. The latter added that the Redmi 3 was the best-selling phone of the last three days on Amazon, while the Redmi 3S and 3S Prime were the best-selling models on FlipKart during the same time frame. The Indian holiday season, which lasts throughout the month of October, is synonymous with earnings and although the celebrations have not yet started, the results of the work of promoting e-commerce sites can already be seen. Xiaomi has prepared properly for this period and has ensured large quantities of devices in stock to maximize sales. The efforts have been rewarded: Xiaomi had in fact taken 30 days to sell the same number of units in the same period last year. The best is yet to come as the peak in sales will coincide with Diwali (festival of light), scheduled for October 29 this year. Despite the large volume of devices in stock, it seems that Xiaomi India has complained about the exhaustion of most of the models. However, Xiaomi officials have assured that everything will be done to ensure availability for the duration of the holidays.
