Xiaomi India will invest almost 1 billion in 100 startup

Just yesterday we talked about the number of patents owned by Xiaomi and the importance they hold for a company in terms of expansion in the market. And precisely on this philosophy Xiaomi India, led by Manu Jain (administrator and vice-president), it will invest around 70 billion rupees (about 872000 euro) in 100 startup Indian for the next five, all to strengthen its hardware and software ecosystem.

XIAOMI INDIA MAKES TO PRODUCE EVERYTHING ON ITS OWN TERRITORY

Manu Jain, states that until 2017 Xiaomi's net investment in Indian startup companies has been 3000 crore (Indian number equal to 10 million) of rupees, but the increasing earnings and the continuous successes that the company is enjoying now allow to double that value ed invest in hardware and software technology. Naturally, the greatest investment in research and development will concern the smartphone world, but there will also be gadgets and new IoT products.

The will is to get to produce products that Xiaomi sells in China but which are often not available in India, not even in the Mi Store physical stores, such as the electric scooter, or the smart bike, water purifier, notebook and much more. The company will also invest heavily in the market analysis, taking advantage of the feedback that users will return as a result of targeted interviews to understand the level of demand for certain products rather than others.

Xiaomi

In short, according to Manu Jain, the goal for Xiaomi India is to build smart products, make them accessible to the mass and allow the dialogue between smartphone and product in every situation. India is a very important market for the Chinese company that is conquering the position of leader in the smartphone sector and recently also in the TV sector with a growth of over 30% compared to the previous year. Xiaomi in India aims more and more to produce everything on the territory as we have recently demonstrated with the Redmi Note 5 Pro, but we remember that the success over time has also come thanks to companies in which the Chinese company has invested, such as Huami who for Xiaomi has made the glorious Mi Band 2.
