In reality, Xiaomi has given a jolt recently, with the announcement of a technology that will allow us to recharge all our devices without having to use cables and / or bases, all through the ether. But with today we want to tell you about a further patent that Lei Jun's company has registered and which concerns a mechanism that improves the safety of current lithium batteries.
In particular, the system that Xiaomi is designing would allow to recognize those phenomena in which the battery reports swellings with possible consequences that could also lead to an explosion. A piezoelectric ceramic is used in combination with a current detection circuit, a system that runs alongside the battery and is able to detect any "movements" of the lithium battery, warning us of what is happening.
The Xiaomi patented system would therefore allow to analyze the bad behavior of lithium batteries used in smartphones, with main attention to the swelling of the same, the main cause of the explosions that in the past have also seen Xiaomi as protagonist with some terminals.

This could be one of the few Xiaomi patents that could actually take shape from here shortly, as it should not employ particular resources. Let's remember, for example, that piezoelectric ceramic has already been used by the Chinese brand in the development of the first generation of Mi Mix and therefore as a layman I feel that it should not be difficult to associate a circuit that detects the displacement, a sort of probe so to speak .
If all goes well, it would allow Xiaomi to be recognized as one of the companies to offer the greatest safety in the use of its terminals, protecting the user from the possible explosion of batteries in bad condition.
