Given the huge amount of Xiaomi-branded electronic products released in the last few years, we were a bit surprised when we discovered that until today the Chinese company has never released a semi-professional digital microphone for PC, Android or iOS. The only Xiaomi microphone on the market was in fact specifically dedicated to karaoke and with a price of over 100 euro, so not really recommended for those who want to record a simple audio track or use it for other hobbies.
The Xiaomi JUNLIN digital microphone, as it is called, should instead carry all the minimum functionalities necessary, together with a good quality, to about a quarter of the price.

Cardioid technology
The microphone produced by JUNLIN technology and sold on the Xiaomi platform has five main features: good noise reduction, real-time audio feedback, Hi-Fi quality, high durability and compatibility.
The microphone technology is cardioid, this means that it can capture the sound produced in the front, cutting or at least reducing the sound coming from the sides and rear. The microphone has a high sensitivity, with the gold-plated 16mm diaphragm, has a very fast frequency and transient response and a clear and precise audio output.
Inside the die-cast body that manages to improve the sound capture of about 50% we find then a professional level chip, an AK4962, a built-in 600mAh lithium ion battery for an autonomy of up to 8 hours, and a pair of buttons to control volume and another to activate reverb functionality.
In fact, there are even five types of reverberation that change the timbre of the voice, as with the echo effect, to have a very high, medium / soft and very low tone, and a mode called "complete".
The Xiaomi JUNLIN digital microphone is now on sale in China on the Xiaomi site to the figure of 199 Yuan, that is on the 25 euro.
