Xiaomi launches another competitively priced dash cam on the market

Over the years, the Chinese company Xiaomi has managed to astonish us by launching a wide variety of technology products.
The last device created, more precisely the one hundred and eighth century, is called Xiaomi 70 Steps Smart Car DVR.

It's a small one dashboard cam (that is, a dashboard camcorder) that has the function of resuming everything that happens outside when driving a vehicle.

This technology, mostly used in public transport such as buses and taxis (in this case we also talk about taxicam when the shot is facing inward or the cab), it is also installed more often on the private vehicles, mainly as a useful test of dynamics in case of road accidents, or more simply to capture landscape scenarios and generally surrounding environments.

This type of device has been used for a number of times in the United States and Russia, and in the last few months, it has been gaining ground even in the European market, especially in our country.

Of these devices there are several types and prices, and are mainly distinguished by features such as the quality and resolution of recording, the type and number of lenses taken, the amplitude of the recording angle, the camera sensor used, the operating autonomy, the presence of the storage of the surround sound, etc.

These devices are usually configured to start recording as soon as the engine is started; the recording will then stop after the power is switched off. In case the internal memory is exhausted, the device will overwrite automatically older videos.

To get into the specific, what we know about the Xiaomi 70 Steps Smart Car DVR is that it comes with a design of cylindrical shape in which there is a ice three-color flashing circular, which has the function of showing us the status of the recording.

It also includes a chip MSC8328p and a sensor Sony IMX323 from small dimensions (7.55mm H / 5.75mm W) which allows you to record video at a resolution Full HD  (1080p) to 30 fps ed HD to 60 fps, thus promising higher quality than the previous sensor, especially in low light conditions or night shots, which is also thanks to the seven-layer spherical lenses group (which can capture more light by reducing the the same time the disturbance caused by the reflection) and to one angle shot of well 130 °.

There is also a lack of voice commands intended for the activation of the registration and other basic functions not yet specified.

The car holder consists of an electrostatic adhesive and a rotating bracket, useful for proper dashcam positioning within the car.

Moreover, dedicated app for smartphones, you can take photos, show in real time what the device is framing and transfer the saved recordings via WiFi.

Il price to take home this product is 189 Yuan (about 25 Euro). Before a possible purchase you could still take a look at other similar products such as for example Xiaomi Mijia Car DVR.

Xiaomi is aiming more and more at the western market. This is confirmed by the opening, in these hours, of the first Official Mi Store in Greece.
This gives us hope for the presence of other languages in future products.
