Xiaomi launches new smart lock and dashcam with 2K recording

If on the one hand, today Realme surprised the audience with one series of products that go beyond the world of smartphoneon the other we find Xiaomi which has announced its new Smart Door Lock E, a smart lock that is renewed in design and performance compared to previous generations, as well as for the high security and compatibility with HomeKit. 

Inside the smart lock there is a cylinder with three reinforced locks for opening with a traditional key, but what is surprising are the 6 unlocking modes offered, allowing us to open the door of our home also through the smartphone, a code PIN and our fingerprint to name a few.

In standby mode Xiaomi Smart Door Lock E presents a system of presence check in  able to notify in the event that a person is in front of the door of our house, by sending us a notice on our smartphone. But the warning as well as being smart is also tangible, as even an audible warning included in the lock will warn us of the presence of people. The goodness of the product also lies in the compatibility as well as with the Mi Home ecosystem also the Apple HomeKit.

Xiaomi Smart Door Lock E is sold at a price of 899 yuan, or about 116 euros, with sales beginning on May 27, the date in which the rest of the specifications will also be revealed.

But another gadget has arrived on the scene today, but this time we leave the home to reach the car, where we could rely on a loyal witness, namely the new Xiaomi Driving Recorder 2 dashcam, an improved version of the previous generation with a square design and improved functions as well as an increase in the quality of the recorded images.

The specifications reveal to us on a photographic level the presence of an OS05A10 backlit OV sensor, which allows you to capture video in 2K resolution with f / 1.8 aperture. The viewing angle is 140 °, allowing to cover a field of view of 3 road lanes, very good for use as an accident test. Image quality also improves in night mode, thanks to the reduction of 3D noise at the software level.

Furthermore, for greater safety, Xiaomi Driving Recorder 2 integrates a voice control system, with which to start a recording or take a photograph without having to take your hands off the wheel or distract us visually. In addition, support for the H.265 codec and a larger 3-inch IPS type screen are added, while WiFi and automatic recording support are confirmed, which automatically saves videos in the event of an impact via the G-Sensor.

The new Xiaomi Driving Recorder 2 dashcam will begin to be sold in China in the next few days at the price of 399 yuan, about 51 euros, but no indications have been given on the possible arrival in the global market.
