Xiaomi has solved all the problems related to smartphone overheating

One of the problems that Xiaomi must solve, as well as other companies after all, is that of the overheating of the own smartphone. This phenomenon occurs specifically in summer, when outside temperatures are above 25 ° C. Well, it seems that the Chinese company has solved it thanks to one all new technology, which appears as an evolution of the previous one. The new cooling technology from Xiaomi it's called Loop LiquidCool. We explain what it is and how it works.

Xiaomi smartphone gets too hot? The company has definitively solved the problem thanks to the Loop LiquidCool technology. Here's how it works

For Xiaomi, heat dissipation is no longer a problem thanks to LiquidCool loop. According to the company, this Loop LiquidCool technology is inspired by the cooling solutions used in the aerospace industry and uses a capillary effect that draws the liquid cooling agent towards the heat source. This cooling agent vaporizes and then disperses the heat efficiently to a colder area. Subsequently, that cooling agent in the smartphone itself condensation and is captured via a channel unidirectional with closed loop.

Compared to traditional vapor chamber solutions, this new technology has the double the cooling capacity and ranks as the most efficient smartphone cooling solution. Specifically, let's see how this Xiaomi technology works that prevents too much heat from smartphones: it presents a ring heat pipe system composed of a evaporator, capacitor and room charging.

Then there are tubes where the gas and liquid for cooling pass. The gas and air flow are diffused to the condenser, where the gas condenses back to liquid. These liquids are absorbed and collected through tiny fibers in the charging chamber, which fills the evaporator, making it a self-sufficient system.

Why is this Xiaomi proprietary technology different from the previous one? Since the systems Conventional VCs do not have separate channels for gases and liquids, hot gases and cold liquids mix and clog each other, especially under a high workload. In fact, the ring pump has a special design that reduces the resistance to the passage of air by 30%.

La circulation unidirectional is the key to heat dissipation. To ensure high efficiency one-way circulation, it was essential to implement a structure a Tesla valve inside the charging chamber. A Tesla valve is a one-way valve that allows liquid to pass through the evaporator, preventing gases from moving in the opposite direction. This allows for greater efficiency in the circulation of gas / liquid throughout the system.

But data in hand, how much does Xiaomi's Loop LiquidCool cool? On one Xiaomi MIX 4 customized, the original vapor chamber has been replaced with a new solution with Loop LiquidCool technology. During a game test Genshin impact by 30 minutes with maximum video settings of 60 fps, the Xiaomi cooling system kept the device under one maximum temperature of 47.7 ℃. The processor instead had a temperature of 8.6 ° C lower than the standard version.

In short, with this cooling technology Xiaomi has taken a step forward. But when will it arrive on the market? Soon to say, even if the brand has announced news for the second half 2022. We can assume that Loop LiquidCool will arrive on Xiaomi 12 or at least on Xiaomi 12 Ultra. We know that these devices should be presented between the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022. It is therefore plausible to think that the heat dissipation technology will debut on the next flagships.
