Xiaomi Meri alias Xiaomi Mi 5C appears on Geekbench

Xiaomi Mi 5C again subject to rumors after these days have leaked those that most likely will be his features and next week the processor owner of the Chinese company. This time to increase the expectation for what is assumed to be called "Xiaomi Meri" is his performance on Geekbench.

As we can see from this screen, the Xiaomi Meri comes with a 1.4GHz octa-core SoC that should match the "low" version of the Pinecone, the V670, the 3GB RAM and the Android Nougat 7.1.1 as the operating system.

The smartphone reaches a 762 score in the single core test and 3399 in the multi-core test, slightly higher than the respective 758 and 3105 obtained in a previous test where the terminal was running Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Xiaomi announced today that it will present its new Pinecone 28 processor in February but did not add that it will also release Mi 5C at the same time, so the chances of this are small. The important factor that seems to delay the terminal's submission date is the firmware: on the one hand this test shows that the Xiaomi in question runs Android Nougat, on the other hand, the MIUI 9 seems not to be ready and it would be unusual to launch the new smartphone with a MIUI 8 based on Android Nougat. However, even if the new device was introduced with Android Marshmallows, there would always be certainty that it will be updated later to Nougat.

To feed the uncertainties but still keep the attention on the Xiaomi Mi 5C high, in recent days an image has circulated that portrays the information screen on the phone, in which you can clearly see how the phone is precisely the Mi 5C that runs version 7.1.1 of Android with security update dated February 5, 2017 and MIUI 8 developer 7.1.20.

The other details tell us that this smartphone should be the high end version of the Mi 5C, with 2,35GHz clocked Pinecone processor and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal memory. Unfortunately, however, we can not say with certainty that this photo is reliable, even because some data would seem accurate, but it makes me wonder the version of MIUI.

Please do not miss any updates!
