Like all self-respecting flagships, the new Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro adopt the best hardware out there. By this we mean the latest generation Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 865, a quality AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate and fast charging up to 50W.

But all these top-of-the-range specifications do not make the Xiaomi Mi 10 series a must buy if not supported by software of equal value. Xiaomi is aware of it and has just reminded us of it by revealing a really interesting new feature for those who love working with videos on their smartphone; let's talk about the Xiaomi Video Toolbox.
What is it about? Well, Xiaomi quickly summarized its usefulness by comparing it to the Game Toolbox, or the feature dedicated to those who want to get maximum performance when playing on their smartphone.
This feature can instead be invoked when a video is playing. Once this is done, you will be able to record the content on the screen, take screenshots and other functions such as "Best Screen Listening" (probably used to improve the audio within videos). It will also be possible to add customizable filters, sound effects and improve the video quality by changing the various parameters (as is done for photos).
As we can see in the image above, a small window will open on the screen with the various options, both in vertical and horizontal (full screen) mode; just like with the Game Toolbox.
So the Xiaomi Video Toolbox is a feature to be able to record shared videos online, such as those on the Youtube, Instagram or Facebook apps, to then edit them to your liking and probably share them again online / with friends or alternatively store them on your smartphone. That said, this feature will almost certainly not be available within apps like Netflix that care much more about copyright protection.
