Since the new one came out T series, many have wondered what their meaning actually was. Did we really need it? Without a doubt, the brand has decided to focus on one particular feature, namely it screen. By removing the version Lite that comes only 120Hz refresh rate, the models Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro they can peak at 144Hz. All this is possible thanks to technology AdaptiveSync. But what changes between this series and the standard one? Let's see it in particular with a comparison between Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite and Mi 10 Lite.
A doversoso comparison: Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite against Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite. The two youngest of the family might look the same to the nose but instead ...
We assume that the T series is not a "subsequent" series to the standard series. Unfortunately the choice of name was unfortunate and we know this too, but the company has decided to continue with the T line, started with the Mi 9 devices. In any case, it is important to emphasize that they are two profoundly different series. But now let's start the comparison.
Design: Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite vs Mi 10 Lite
- My 10T Lite:
- Mi 10 Lite:
Of course, the differences from the design point of view are obvious. First of all weight and measurements are different: the version has a greater weight as well as the total dimensions. A slightly larger screen also justifies this. Another notable difference is the rear photographic compartment: the standard Lite version has a square traffic light with four sensors placed in the upper right corner while the model just released has a sector to POCO X3. A new shape but always with four sensors. A substantial difference lies in the refresh rate of the two displays: the latest model released counts on a 120Hz refresh rate on IPS display while the oldest on one 60Hz standard on AMOLED display.
Cameras: Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite vs Mi 10 Lite
- My 10T Lite: quad rear camera
- main from 64 megapixel Sony IMX682 with aperture
- ultrawide from 8 megapixel with opening
- macro from 2 megapixel with opening
- depth from 2 megapixel with opening
- front camera by 16 megapixel;
- Mi 10 Lite: quad rear camera
- main from 48 megapixel with aperture f / 1.79 and pixel size 0.8 ;
- ultrawide from 8 megapixel with f / 2.2 ee large aperture
- macro from 2 megapixel with opening
- depth from 2 megapixel with opening
- front camera by 16 megapixel;
Here the differences are very few. As we said, the photographic sector differs mainly for the crafts. But what changes is also the main photographic sensor which is a 64 megapixels in the T model and a 48 megapixel in the standard model. As we underline several times, it is not the number of pixels that makes the difference in the shots but thealgorithm and software. In this sense, the brand must move differently and not "rely" on Google Camera to take good photos. There is an urgent need for fresh and better algorithms.
Processor and general hardware equipment
- My 10T Lite: o
- Mi 10 Lite: Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G or
In this there are differences in terms of names, even if in terms of performance it is all to be verified. This time the brand has decided to choose one Snapdragon 750G sil model T, which is the first device ever to mount it. On paper, unlike the Snapdragon 765G of the other model it is less performing, but still of poco. We know for sure that the latter is the best mid-range processor (almost top) in circulation at the moment: it is the most used and the most appreciated because it is not at all critical of any kind. A second difference lies in the GPU: a difference number between one model and another, with (frankly stated) no substantial visible difference. Finally the type of storage: we have a UFS 2.2 in the T Lite and a UFS 2.1 in the regular Lite. There is a minimum difference in speed, but this time too we talk about trifles.
Battery and recharge
- My 10T Lite: 4820 mAh rechargeable at a power of 33W;
- Mi 10 Lite: 4160 mAh rechargeable at a power of 22.5W;
Here the differences are substantial: we have a big discrepancy both in terms of charging capacity and power. The model T Lite has more capacity than charging power while the other is less performing. This results in longer charging times, which users currently don't like very much.
Is it possible that there is also a difference that you did not mention, the fm radio? Nothing is specified on the manufacturer's website, but I have read several cards around, and it seems that only the T version does not have a radio. I will be obsolete, but radio still interests me 😉
Hello yesterday 25th November I bought the 10T lite and it has the radio
You're right, thanks for letting me know. In fact, it is a feature that often escapes sight.
