As we learned a few days ago, the American chip maker Qualcomm will hold the Snapdragon Tech Summit on December 1st. At the conference, the company will release the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 875, which is the SoC for high-end smartphones. But when will it be possible to buy the first device with this chipset? Well, apparently sooner than previously thought.
LEAK: Xiaomi Mi 11 series will be launched later this year with this design
A few weeks ago we discovered that Samsung could launch the new Galaxy S21 series towards the end of January, becoming the first flagship to mount the new CPU. But that doesn't seem to suit the Xiaomi brand, or at least that's what the famous Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station reveals.
According to the leakster, Xiaomi would have decided to launch the next Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro by the end of the year, thus anticipating the South Korean competitor. Digital Chat Station has even released a photo with two smartphones, suggesting that it could be the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro, with the first that seems to adopt a flat screen and the second a curved type. Both smartphones integrate a camera into a hole positioned centrally within the screen.
Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro
So Digital Chat Station is sure that the two devices will be launched later this year, but as we all know, this does not mean that they will be immediately available on the market. In other words, Xiaomi could launch the Mi 11 series in December, so as to be able to say that it has the first smartphone with Snapdragon 875 in the world, but then delay the sale until the end of January, or in the same period in which we should see the Samsung's upcoming flagships.
In any case, we really hope that Xiaomi will focus more on creating a smartphone complete in features and without weaknesses, instead of wanting to excel in something truly negligible like being the first to debut with the Snapdragon chip.
