It is already time to talk about Xiaomi Mi 12 after Mi 11, its predecessor and current flagship smartphone, just came out. Apparently authoritative Chinese sources they begin to claim to know the first features of the future top of the range. This is a little smiley, but after all, these are just rumors that could be refuted shortly. Let's remember what happened to the Snapdragon 875? Yes is magically transformed into Snapdragon 888. And in this regard, today we are talking about processors. The Chinese source we refer to says it will be Snapdragon 895 to be equipped on the next Xiaomi.

According to the information just leaked, Xiaomi Mi 12 it should be equipped with a SoC to 4 nm which would probably take the name of Snapdragon 895. Clearly this information is still to be taken with a grain of salt. Given what happened with the Snapdragon 888 SoC it is not safe to give names yet. But what's really interesting, beyond the name, is that it will be a 4nm litho process SoC. Also, it seems, Qualcomm will switch to TSMC from 2022.
The main reason that prompted Qualcomm to turn to TSMC was the information that the Chinese company plans to start the mass production of 4nm processors in 2022. Samsung produces the current Snapdragon 888 flagship using 5nm litho technology. The Snapdragon 895 should receive a Qualcomm X65 5G modem and speed peak on 5G networks will be increased up to 10 Gbps. The Snapdragon X65 modem also features the energy saving technology Qualcomm 5G PowerSave 2.0. This will significantly reduce the power consumption of the platform.
Having said that, we admit that it is still too early to confirm or even make inferences about Xiaomi Mi 12 specifications. It is clear that if it comes out in 2022, the device should certainly support the camera below the screen.
