Almost a month from launch in China, the cheaper version of the Xiaomi flagship series, the Mi 8, finally seems to arrive in the rest of the world; we are obviously talking about the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite.
In fact, yesterday's news was the launch of the latest Xiaomi home terminal in the city of Kiev, Ukraine. Presenting it live, in an event that had nothing to envy to those held in other European countries, was the company's marketing director, Donovan Sung. Now you ask yourself, what do we care about launching a smartphone in Ukraine? Well, as Donovan also said poco before the event, the former USSR country is the first in a long series on a global scale.
This means that we may have the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite on sale in Italy and in other countries of the European Union in the next days or weeks. A very positive news, whether you like the smartphone in question or not.
For those who have lost the characteristics of the Mi 8 Lite, we can not blame you for the amount of devices released recently by the company, but we can summarize the highlights.
Starting from the display, an IPS panel with a diagonal of 6.26 inches and a resolution of 2560 × 1080, set in a mixed metal and glass body with a thickness of 7.5mm. Then we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor which provides enough power for what is ultimately a "lite" version, the CPU is then accompanied by 4GB or 6GB and 64GB or 128GB of internal memory.
The strong point of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, however, is in the photographic sector. The device is in fact equipped with a 24MP selfie cam with Ai support to improve the quality of the photos, while in the back there are two sensors of 12MP and 5MP to create photos with the bokeh effect. Finally, the Mi 8 Lite is powered by a 3350mAh battery.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite was launched in the Global version (4GB / 64GB) in Ukraine at the price of 7499hrv, around 232 €.
