Good news for the owners of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro launched last year. The co-founder and president of Xiaomi Group China, Wang Chuan, has in fact just announced on the Chinese social network Weibo that the smartphone in question will receive the new Game Turbo technology present in the new flagships of the giant, such as the latest Xiaomi Mi 9.
In the same post, Wang confirmed that the introduction of this new feature will significantly improve the smartphone's performance, at least as far as gaming is concerned. An update that will please potential buyers of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro, which will go on sale in China tomorrow at 10:00 at 2499 Yuan, about €330 for the model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro will receive the Game Turbo
At the presentation of the Game Turbo mode, Xiaomi claimed that the new technology dramatically improves performance by dynamically adjusting the CPU frequency based on the rendering load of the game. Thus, thanks to intelligent programming of the CPU frequency, the CPU is used at a lower frequency in a low-load scenario, reducing system power consumption. On the contrary, in scenes with large renderings like in online multiplayer battles, more system resources are invested, effectively increasing the frame rate and reducing the number of times the frame rate falls below an acceptable number for an experience of fluid play.
Although it has become a bit 'older, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro is still a great terminal with top-end hardware and is the first smartphone released by Xiaomi with a fingerprint sensor below the display, which over time has been improved both in the release speed and in the recognition rate.
As for all other specifications, refer to those of the 8 Mi, which is a beautiful Super AMOLED screen from 6,21 inches with a resolution of 2248 x 1080, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor aided by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory ( alternatively also available with 8GB of RAM).
In addition, the Mi 8 Pro in addition to having the in-display scanner also has an infrared sensor to recognize faces, two rear cameras from 12MP with OIS (optical image stabilization) and optical zoom, while in front we find an 20MP sensor and opening f / 2.0 for selfie. The smartphone was presented with Android 8.1 Oreo as an operating system and is powered by a 3,400mAh battery with support for fast charging technology.
