In the past there have always been major doubts about Xiaomi's participation in one of the most important tech events of the year, namely the MWC (Mobile World Congress). In reality, already in 2018 we were able to appreciate some glimpses of the company, which brought the already known Redmi Note 5 Pro to the attention of the media, but if in the past the company did not show any intention to present news, this year the music seems totally different.
Xiaomi Mi 9 could be released during the MWC 2019
Some sources, coming from the usual Weibo social network, seem to confirm thatXiaomi is planning to launch the 9 Mi right during the MWC 2019, going to rivaling with LG that should release the LG G8 model, the top of the range of the Korean house, which must recover from the recent crisis. No further details emerge except as we have already recounted through local rumors. Someone however claims that it is highly unlikely to use the new Qualcomm processor, even if it is the same one expected on the future Mi Mix 3 5G.
At any rate what emerged online are only mere suppositions, because Xiaomi has never given any official confirmation of the existence of a Mi 9 nor of its plans for the Catalan fair. But it is a hope, which could have a confirmation, since Xiaomi in the space of a year has really made a sensation in the European market, especially in Spain and Italy. The previous rendering of the device shows us a Mi 9 that is not renewed much, if not in the adoption of a reduced notch, while what could be revolutionized is the photographic sector, by inserting a third camera on the back that should perform ultra functionality wide angle.
Perhaps the company will adopt instead a deisgn with hole on the display as recently did Huawei? I personally think that it will be the latter design of the future top of the range Mi 9, but that this will be presented immediately after the MWC 2019.
