Many wanted it and today it came, let's talk about the long-awaited Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite, or the international version of the Xiaomi CC9 released in China in July. The smartphone was presented today in Milan, where we got to touch it with hand and appreciate the various details that are not always easy to notice in an online presentation. Let's go then to discover it together closely!
Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite presented in Italy, better him or Mi 9T?
The Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite joins the Mi 9 series smartphone already available in Italy, with a very similar design, if not identical to that of the Mi 9 flagship presented at the beginning of the year but with a mid-range price that could make it a best buy for those who are satisfied with less performing hardware. This always unless you prefer another Xiaomi device of the Mi 9 series, that is the Mi 9T, a smartphone with very similar features and a slightly different design.
Let's start with the design of the Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite, which as we already knew is very similar to the Xiaomi Mi 9, with a large display of 6,39 inches diagonal, Full HD + resolution and AMOLED type, and a notch in the upper part where we find the front camera from ben 32MP with 1,6µm pixels and panoramic selfies. Because yes, the Mi 9 Lite is a smartphone dedicated to young people with a passion for selfies.
The screen is then covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 resistant to shocks and scratches, as well as the back cover available in Pearl White, Aurora Blue and Onyx Black. But the most interesting detail from the design point of view is perhaps the Xiaomi logo on the back that lights up thanks to LEDs when we receive a notification or reproduce some music. We can then also leave the smartphone with the screen facing down, if we care about our privacy, still managing to understand when a new message arrives.

On the back of the Mi 9 Lite we find another strong point of the smartphone: the photographic sector. As we said before, in fact, the device was born first of all as a tool to take great pictures to share on social media. Precisely for this reason we have the exact same image sensor as the Mi 9 flagship, so let's talk about the Sony IMX586 from 48MP coupled with a lens having focal length F / 1,79. The sensor supports Sony's pixel binning technology to merge four pixels into a larger one in low light situations. The other two sensors instead have 8MP resolution with ultra wide-angle lens and 2MP used to collect data on depth of field.
Moving on to the internal hardware instead, the Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite equips a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 for excellent mid-ranger performance, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal memory, among other things expandable up to 256GB via microSD card .
The smartphone is very light at 179 grams of weight, but despite this it manages to bring many features almost impossible to find in other devices. We speak in particular of the infrared emitter, the audio jack from 3,5mm and an NFC module to make electronic payments and much more. We also have support for fast 18W fast recharging to recharge the smartphone up to 43% in just 30 minutes and a large 4030mAh battery.
The new Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite will be available from October at a price yet to be discovered.

Difficult comparison… different processor, notchcino (not annoying, but it's there), 100+ euro extra for the 9t… They are of slightly different range and, in the end, it depends on the budget.

I had read rumors about a Lite price around 250-260 and with the T that I was sembrava to remember around 400 on amazon… but with the official prices of the Lite published it is clear that the difference is actually much smaller; never think early in the morning... 😉 However, in general, the Lite is a really nice terminal.
