In recent weeks the rumors regarding the likely new devices of the Mi 9 series seem to have become everyday life. Today is not much different from the others and in fact we will talk about the Xiaomi Mi 9S.
That said, the smartphone in question could be the closest successor to the original Mi 9 presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last February.
Xiaomi Mi 9S coming with 5G, 2K screen, OIS and 45W recharge?
So what are the differences? Well as you will have already understood from the title we speak of a fundamental difference, or the presence of the 5G connectivity. The news was leaked by the Chinese telephone giant China Unicom which has just published the list of many devices that will be sold by the internet provider in September.
Until now it was thought that the next Xiaomi smartphone with 5G network support to enter the market would be it Xiaomi Mi MIX 4. China Unicom has therefore denied this rumor confirming that the terminal will instead be an upgrade of the Xiaomi Mi 9.
This also means that the Xiaomi Mi 9S is in fact the smartphone found online previously with the model name "M1908F1XE" and that we had seen equip a cable recharge from 45W.
As if this were not enough, the Russian blog Xiaomishka adds that the hypothetical Mi 9S 5G can also receive a screen upgrade up to 2K resolution, an optical stabilization of the main camera and a larger battery.
So what to say, even without 5G connectivity this hypothetical Xiaomi Mi 9S already seems a better option than the original Mi 9, bringing many of the features requested by the fans to the presentation of the same.
