After bringing the first "tri-bezel-less" smartphone (with no three edges) ever to the market with the Xiaomi Mi MIX, the Chinese brand has relaxed a little from the design point of view, at least as far as flagships are concerned of the Mi series.
The situation then changed with the Mi MIX 3, which has a truly full screen design without notches or holes, but due to the sliding mechanism and the consequent thickness and high weight, this was not very successful.
Xiaomi mocks the notch in a new advertising campaign
Arriving a few days ago, however, the new one dates back Xiaomi Mi 9T, another full screen style device, without notches or other frills that distract you from watching videos or other content. The Mi 9T, unlike the Mi MIX 3, seems to have received much appreciation both for the design and for the specifications at a reasonable price.

In any case, although Xiaomi is still actively selling the Xiaomi Mi 9 in Italy and the rest of the world, this does not seem to have stopped the Chinese company from promoting a new marketing campaign against the notch.

As we can see in the mini series of three videos shown above, Xiaomi teases all the other devices with the notch at the top of the screen. Now, it is true that the Xiaomi Mi 9 has a notch, but this is definitely smaller than the one simulated in the video, which instead is much more similar to the notch of the Apple iPhone X series and yes, even the Xiaomi Mi 8 dell 'last year.

In any case, this advertising campaign should give us hope in the future. Will Xiaomi have the nerve to produce another device with higher notch after these video clips? We obviously hope not, at least for the flagships that usually should adopt a more innovative design. For cheaper devices, the notch seems to remain an excellent option, not too expensive and easier to produce.
