Yesterday we had anticipated it and today the confirmation seems to have arrived: the Redmi K20 will be sold in the rest of the world under the name of Xiaomi Mi 9T.
The news comes directly from the Xiaomi Global Twitter account that shared the image we can see below.
Xiaomi Mi 9T: New teasers and rumors, is the Redmi K20 Global?
Here's the answer! I 9T is coming soon! Guess what T stands for? pic.twitter.com/0mY2N7lnSx
- Xiaomi #5GIsHere (@Xiaomi) May 30, 2019
The image seems to portray just the new Redmi K20 which differs from other Xiaomi devices such as the Mi 9 due to the lack of a drip notch in the upper part of the display. In addition to the photo and the writing "It's T time", Xiaomi then added "Here's the answer! The 9T Mi is coming! What is the 'T' for you? "
In response, Xiaomi refers to the question they posed yesterday and we had seen in this post. In that case it was asked which letter to match the name Mi 9. Today we know that this is the T, as many suspected.
In any case, fans of the Redmi K20 series can only rejoice in half at least for the moment. This is because with Xiaomi Mi 9T most probably means the Redmi K20 and not the Pro variant which instead should come up with the name of Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro (if they make a Global version).
The main difference between the two devices is the CPU used, an excellent Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 on the K20 and the more powerful Snapdragon 855 on the K20 Pro. Needless to say, the latter processor is the one that gives the K20 series the nickname of Flagship Killer 2.0.
We also conclude with a new rumor unearthed by ours Emanuele. The indiscretion would give the Xiaomi Mi 9T arriving in Spain at the price of 329 € for the version with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, while the variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage should cost 369 €. As for the version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, this should remain a Chinese exclusive.
What do you think of this Xiaomi move? And the possible prices? Let us know in the comments section below!
Xiaomi otra vez nos decepciona a los usuarios globales, lanzando teléfonos excepcionales in bajo precio only for china and india ... Luego para global es un rebrand y el precio es mucho mas alto or directly no sale ...
I hope they don't do bullshit for them. This 369 “flagship” is no longer. Considering the missing features, which may or may not be useful but are missing, I wouldn't spend more than €369 for the 855. I'm generous go for 399€
In discounted presale on Geekbuying at 369 and 64gb ... .. these are out ...
You don't have to calculate the Chinese stores in this period, there is still no stock and the prices are distorted.
Bad prices
The desire for global is almost passing me… and give up the 20 band and install miui.eu
Wait on gearbest and let's see
What prices ... ..
