Many from the 25 April, the date on which the Xiaomi Mi 6X was presented, are awaiting the release of the A2 Mi which should theoretically have the Mi 6X as its hardware and design base, but with the substantial difference in software. In fact after the first experiment that saw the use of the OS Android One, resulting in the A1 Mi, the new Xiaomi Mi A2 should continue the path taken by the company and that in fact globalizes a device developed exclusively for the Chinese market.
Today, however, comes a news that in a sense is incredible, in fact the images that some time ago we showed you and that they had appeared on the TENAA database, in reality they do not seem to refer to the Redmi 6 but rather to a new device that would bear the name of Mi A2 Lite, smartphone that has just been certified at the city of Singapore. Device marked with the model number M1805D1SG and that was it spotted on the Singapore IMDA website (the equivalent of the FCC or TENAA), where there is also an indication of the trade name, equivalent to the Mi A2 Lite.
The model number of the device is similar to that seen previously on TENAA, where in reality there were three models appeared in the database and were distinguished by the initials M1805D1SC , M1805D1SE e M1805D1ST . It is therefore noted that the only differences between the models are found in the last letters G, C, E and T.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite or Redmi 6? The answer comes from the Singapore IMDA
According to these latest revelations, the previous images do not belong to the Redmi 6 but rather to the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite that will then be presented in Singapore. The other information leaked earlier suggested the adoption of a display with Full HD + resolution distinguished by the notch marked by a white frame. Other news suggested the adoption of one Octacore CPU clocked at 2.0 GHz (it is assumed the good old and dear Snapdragon 625), while we will find one RAM with cuts from 2, 3 and 4 GB while the storage space will be from 16, 32 and 64 GB.
This does not mean that the A2 Mi is not presented, indeed it is expected even more that this derives from the previous Mi 6X which also adopts a dual rear camera, which we could also find in Mi A2 Lite. The main module will be 12 megapixel while the secondary one will not have news, unlike the camera selfie that on Mi A2 Lite will be from 5 megapixel positioned inside the notch.
Completing the equipment, a fingerprint scanner on the back, operating system Android Oreo 8.1 and 3900 mAh battery. We do not know when the new and curious device will be presented, but does not seem to lack much. The doubt remains on why the company has thought of a Lite variant of Mi A2 that changes not only in aesthetics but also in software. We'll see what the future holds.
