A few days ago we told you about the possible arrival in the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 in the coming months, with the delayed launch due to the success that the Mi Band 3 is currently having on the market. Well, despite the news that came from the wearable segment's marketing director, it would seem that the Mi Band 4 is still close enough to go on the market.
Why do we think this is so? The newly obtained certificate does not lie and most of the time this means that the device is around the corner.
Xiaomi Mi Band 4 certified for Bluetooth 5.0, is missing poco?
As we can see in the image above, in fact, two devices called "Mi smart band 4 NFC" and "Mi smart band 4" would have just been certified on the official Bluetooth site. Specifically we find the certification for Bluetooth 5.0 in the name of the company Huami Information Technology, recently detached from Xiaomi but which however is part of the Chinese giant's ecosystem. Moreover, the two code names of the Mi Band are "XMSH08HM" and "XMSH07HM", so if in the future we will see these two abbreviations we will know we will talk about the new fourth generation smart band.
From the certificate "D043217" we can not eradicate much else, if not the most obvious data of all and to which you will already have arrived on your own, namely the presence of a version with NFC technology. This would not be the first time for a Mi Band, as already the third was subsequently made available in a variant with NFC. That said, everyone would like to be able to choose between the two options directly at the presentation.
In conclusion, even if we see the Mi Band 4 obtain the certificate for Bluetooth 5, we cannot say with certainty that it is going to be presented, especially after the words of David Cui of the other day. In any case, the wait should not be long because a presentation is suspected in June, or a year after the presentation of the Mi Band 3.
