After being fasting for a couple of days from the rumors surrounding the new Xiaomi Mi Band 5, today the Chinese brand's fitness tracker returns to the fore, making people talk about themselves because of some photos that seem to portray it live, but especially that they deny the previously leaked design. Today, therefore, we will not talk about functions, those that emerged in these days just seasoned with fake images, but only the appearance leaked from some photos published on Weibo.
And why do we emphasize this aspect? Because if the photos turn out to be true, all the beautiful things told so far could be lost, such as the possibility of controlling the oxygenation of the blood etc ..
The images that show the alleged Mi Band 5, do not seem to be full of emphasis, seen for example the product refill system, which does not seem to differ by anything compared to the current one, which also represents one of the weaknesses of Xiaomi's wearable. In the lower image in fact you can see slightly protruding magnetic pins but the attention actually falls on the capsule of the band. This in fact seems to be similar to the current Mi Band 4, but it is clear and evident a rod to identify the soft touch button to navigate through the menus.
Xiaomi Mi Band 5: new live images or new fakes?
There is not much to say, except that the images must be judged with lead feet. In fact in itself the photos are not fake, in the sense that they are not subject to manipulation as what has been shown by previous leaks so far, but rather the photos of the alleged Mi Band 5 could portray a sort of prototype.
In fact, looking at the product it is clear that the display is less resolute than the AMOLED of the fourth generation of Mi Band as well as it seems strange that the word about the gionro in English is already available at the watchface level, which is entirely questionable from the since generally the first samples of these products are always in purely Chinese language. Yet there shouldn't be much to miss at the launch, scheduled for July 2020 with a launch price of 25 euros at the current exchange rate. But then what to expect?
Personally I believe that these images that have reached our hands today represent a completely different product, an imitation but certainly not the new Mi Band 5 which in turn will hardly differ at all in terms of design from the previous generation, integrating exclusively the SpO2 sensor and perhaps the possibility of measuring blood pressure, features that are already in use and rather functional on smaller brands such as Umidigi uFit for example.
More sporting activities will be supported while the NFC version will as always be exclusive to the Chinese market. In short, is it worth aiming for the purchase of Mi Band 5? It depends…
Hello,
it looks like one of the imitations I've seen around my band 4.
In my opinion it is so.
