The TV box presented today, Xiaomi Mi Box 4 SE, does not deviate much from those described above, although as the name suggests, we are talking about a product not top of the range that comes out a year after the presentation of the first model of the 4 series. This means that this box will not be noticed for the specifications in itself, but for the excellent quality / price ratio typical of Xiaomi products.
Xiaomi Mi Box 4 SE presented in China, costs only 24 €
So let's start with the internal components, ie the unspecified CPU consisting of four Cortex-A7 cores with the graphic part charged to a Mali-400. Then we find only 1GB of RAM and 4GB internal memory of type eMMC to install the main app and little else.
Xiaomi Mi Box 4 SE supports 1080p video playback, has a WiFi module for a wireless connection, an HDMI port and a USB port to connect external accessories, such as a hard disk, pendrive, mouse and keyboard. Xiaomi knows that on the external memory it will be possible to install games and other applications as well as to store videos, music, etc.
From the software point of view, the Mi Box 4 SE uses the PatchWall system with an artificial intelligence voice assistant. Thanks to it you can control the TV box with voice commands to play videos, change channels, check the weather and much more. Finally, the device supports the screencast to display the smartphone screen directly on the TV.
The Xiaomi Mi Box 4 SE is now on sale in China at the price of 189 Yuan, or 24 €, including the HDMI cable.
