Among the many products released by Xiaomi in recent years, TV boxes are perhaps those that are less discussed but that, at least globally, sell much more than you think and in fact dominate the market thanks to their compromise between quality constructive, good specifications and attractive prices.
The TV box presented today, Xiaomi Mi Box 4 SE, does not deviate much from those described above, although as the name suggests, we are talking about a product not top of the range that comes out a year after the presentation of the first model of the 4 series. This means that this box will not be noticed for the specifications in itself, but for the excellent quality / price ratio typical of Xiaomi products.

So let's start with the internal components, or the unspecified CPU consisting of four Cortex-A7 cores with the graphics part borne by a Mali-400. Then we find only 1GB of RAM and 4GB of eMMC internal memory to install the main apps and poco other.
Xiaomi Mi Box 4 SE supports 1080p video playback, has a WiFi module for a wireless connection, an HDMI port and a USB port to connect external accessories, such as a hard disk, pendrive, mouse and keyboard. Xiaomi knows that on the external memory it will be possible to install games and other applications as well as to store videos, music, etc.

From a software point of view, the Mi Box 4 SE uses the PatchWall system with artificial intelligence voice assistant. Thanks to it it will be possible to control the TV box with voice commands to play videos, change channels, check the weather and much more. Finally, the device supports screencast to display the smartphone screen directly on the TV.
The Xiaomi Mi Box 4 SE is now on sale in China at the price of 189 Yuan, or 24 €, also including the HDMI cable.
