After completing the Xiaomi Mi 10 series with the latest Mi 10 Lite e Mi 10 Youth (in China), Xiaomi now seems very close to the launch of a smartphone very similar to the latter two in terms of performance, but much more focused on photography. As you may have already understood from the title, we refer to the Xiaomi Mi CC10.
Xiaomi Mi CC10 with 120x zoom, the cover confirms its design
Well, today the smartphone, or at least one of its accessories, would have leaked online. The images just above should in fact portray a very "young" cover for the device in question. The images suggest the final design of the back, with four cross cameras inside a rounded rise. The flash is instead positioned below, outside the camera module.
The image also seems to suggest that there is no camera on the screen and therefore one with a pop-up mechanism in its place. The Chinese media, however, have noted that the upper hole from which the camera should come out is missing and therefore it is more likely that it is a marketing choice and not a real representation of the screen.
As for the other specifications, the Xiaomi Mi CC10 is also known with the code name "CAS". This device should adopt a rear camera with a periscope lens with support for a maximum optical zoom of 12x; while the digital one should reach 120x. So let's talk about something never seen before on a smartphone and that would oust the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra with its zoom of up to 100x.
Finally, the Mi CC10 will use a main camera of over 100 megapixels, which is the new 2MP Samsung CIS HM108 sensor (and not the old Samsung HMX). In any case, the specifications of HM2 would be slightly lower than those of the HM1 sensor. With a photosensitive area of about 1 / 1,5 inches and a single pixel size of 0,7μm.
