According to the Chinese news site ChannelGate, the latest units of the Xiaomi Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34 ”will be shipped later this month, with sales of this model suspended until a later date.
Xiaomi Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34 ”discontinued due to lack of supply from Samsung
But what is the cause of this stop? Well, apparently there is a problem with the supply of the 34-inch screens manufactured by Samsung; Xiaomi's last batch of 34-inch production orders was 2.000 units, but none will follow after this batch, at least in the near future.
According to a report published in China, the negotiation between Xiaomi and AUO did not go well at all, so the Chinese brand found itself depending entirely on Samsung for the supply of the much needed displays. This means that when Samsung's panels are available again, the Xiaomi Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34 ”will be significantly more expensive, with the monitor likely to return to the market in the first quarter of 2021.
In fact, the monitor is already out of stock on the official Xiaomi website in China and the same applies to the Italian one, while on Amazon the availability seems to be postponed to December 12.
Recall that the Xiaomi Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34 "was presented in China in October last year, then arrived in Italy in July this year. The monitor uses a 21: 9 ultra-wide panel, 3440 × 1440 resolution, covers the 121% sRGB and 85% NTSC color gamut. We also have 300nit brightness, 3000: 1 contrast ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, AMD Free-Sync anti-tearing technology support and Low Blue Light functionality.
In terms of appearance, the Xiaomi curved monitor is designed with a very thin 2mm bezel. There is an adjustable bracket to improve the viewing angle and thus comfort level, effectively relieving neck fatigue.
Finally, for the interfaces, the Xiaomi Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34 ”comes with two HDMI 2.0 ports, two DP1.4 ports and an audio port. The current price of the monitor is 449.99 €.
I accidentally bought the non-European version so I only have the menu in English and Chinese. Is there a way to update the settings and have the menu in Italian?
It seems difficult to me and honestly I would avoid, if you go brick who knows how it works out.
